Robert D. Forman (1911-1971) was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended the Southwestern University, Memphis, Tennessee and studied law at the University of Memphis. In 1938, he joined the Army Air Corps reserve, trained as a pilot and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in September, 1939. He was called to active duty in September, 1940. Richard Mattern Montgomery (b. Dec. 15, 1911, Hollidaysburg, Pa.-d. Aug. 27, 1987), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point in 1933 and completed flying training the following year.
